Q01

Can I have scalp care while using minoxidil?

Mild scalp care can be done as long as the care schedule does not interfere with medication. We recommend that you consult your prescribing doctor first to confirm that there is no conflict between care and medication, and proactively inform you of the dosage form and usage you are using when you arrive at the location. Scalp care is positioned as daily scalp management. It does not replace drug treatment, nor does it "enhance drug efficacy."

If your scalp continues to be itchy, red, or desquamated after using minoxidil, it may be irritation from solvents (such as propylene glycol) or contact dermatitis. You should first seek treatment from a prescriber and postpone care. When choosing any scalp care provider, you can first observe whether the other party understands your medication status before arranging services - this is a basic responsible signal.
