If I only want a scalp assessment, will I be pushed toward surgery?

Testing and hair transplantation are two different things, and your choice should be respected. A standardized test will issue a written report, explain the findings on hair follicles and scalp one by one, and explain the limitations of the test; conclusions about the type of hair loss and treatment should come from a dermatologist; a scalp assessment alone should not lead to a recommendation for transplant surgery.

When you arrive at the location, you can directly explain that "you are not considering hair transplantation for now, but just want to know the condition of your scalp." If the other party continues to pressure you to promote the surgery or treatment after the test, this in itself is a sign that you need to be vigilant.
