Can I request a refund for unused sessions on a prepaid plan?

The location’s written terms apply, subject to legal minimum rights. Judicial Interpretation Fa Shi [2025] No. 4, effective May 1, 2025, for consumer prepaid services: a customer may request return of the prepaid principal within seven days of payment, unless they have already used the same goods or services (Article 14); a blanket “no refunds” clause is invalid (Article 9); a move that causes substantial inconvenience may justify ending the contract (Article 13); and an unlimited-use time-based plan may be refunded in proportion to the unused term after the contract ends (Article 22).

Before buying a prepaid plan, read the written terms and keep the contract and payment receipt. In a dispute, you can complain to the market regulator or bring a claim under the law.
