Can I have scalp care while receiving hospital treatment for a scalp condition?
Yes, if your treating doctor agrees. Tell the care provider your diagnosis, treatment, medications, and any instructions from your doctor. The provider should ask about your plan, offer only gentle cleansing that does not interfere with it, avoid irritating procedures, and never suggest a service as a substitute for treatment.
A responsible provider asks what your doctor has advised before recommending care. If inflammation is active, medical treatment takes priority.
