Is FerriaMed Hair Care Center a medical institution?
No. FerriaMed Hair Care Center is a nonmedical beauty and hair care service providing routine scalp observation, cleansing, and maintenance. The Longhua location shares an address with Shanghai Ferriamed Clinic, a medical institution, but the medical and care providers are separate. Consultations, diagnoses, and prescriptions are handled by the clinic or a hospital; the care location provides routine services.
A hospital dermatology department diagnoses and treats disease. A scalp care provider may not practice medicine under the Measures for the Administration of Medical Beauty Services. See a doctor for conditions such as hair loss or dermatitis; routine care may complement the medical plan.
