Can routine scalp care support treatment prescribed by my doctor?
Follow the treating doctor’s advice. First ask whether outside scalp care is appropriate during treatment and which services to avoid. Tell the care provider your diagnosis, medication, and doctor’s instructions. Arrange only gentle routine care that does not interfere with the medical plan.
Medical treatment remains primary. Scalp care is supplementary cleansing; if inflammation is active or the skin is broken, treatment generally comes first.
