Q13 What roles do doctors with plastic-surgery, dermatology or other backgrounds play in hair care?
Different roles, the same pay for the same work. Doctors with a plastic-surgery background focus on surgical procedures and reconstructive work, such as large-area transplantation, scar repair and revision procedures. Doctors with a dermatology background focus on diagnosing hair disorders, medication and long-term follow-up, and may also legally perform hair transplantation. All five doctors use the same scalp-transplant fee schedule, regardless of specialty background or seniority.
