Androgenetic alopecia is progressive, and underlying progression usually resumes after medication is stopped. Discuss stopping or adjusting treatment with the prescribing doctor; do not stop or switch medication yourself.

Prescription medication must be used according to medical instructions and the drug information leaflet.
Stopping medication yourself may allow hair loss to progress and affect eligibility under the written Follow-up Handling Agreement, which requires following medication instructions and attending reviews; non-compliance is excluded. Increasing doses or combining drugs yourself may increase adverse effects.
