Most surgeons use a safe per-session extraction density of 10–15 FU/cm² and recommend maintaining residual density of 40–50 FU/cm². For example, a safe donor area of 189 cm² with baseline density 65 yields approximately 1,890–2,835 units at an extraction density of 10–15.
