Pricing Information
We price by the extent of the transplant area, not the number of hairs or follicles. Fees are all-inclusive, with no additional charges during surgery. The specific plan and fee are set out in a written quotation after in-person measurement.
Why we do not charge by hair count
When fees are based on follicle counts, the actual count is generated during surgery and is difficult for clients to verify. The same number of follicles covers different areas on different people. Area-based pricing allows measurement before surgery, verification in person and signed confirmation. Fees are all-inclusive, with no additional charges during surgery.
Measurement rules
The doctor measures the area in front of you during the consultation, marks the design with a medical marker, photographs it for the record and obtains your signed confirmation.
The measurement method depends on the type of area:
- Hairline / continuous vertical transplant area: the greatest vertical distance determines the tier
- Horizontal transplant areas such as partings: use width when it is ≤5 cm; when it is >5 cm, use vertical height instead
- A single crown whorl ≤3 cm in diameter: assigned directly to the 1 cm and under tier
- Other irregular areas: the longest diameter determines the tier
Tiers: 1 cm and under | 1–3 cm (including 3 cm) | 3–5 cm (including 5 cm) | 5–7 cm (including 7 cm) | 7–10 cm (including 10 cm).
Boundary values are assigned to the lower-priced tier: for example, 5.00 cm falls in the 3–5 cm tier. If the two sides are asymmetric, the side with the greater actual transplant height determines the fee. If you dispute the measurement, you may request a second measurement and use the average of the two; video recording is permitted. If disagreement remains, the client's own measurement takes precedence.

- At a tier boundary, use the lower-priced tier to benefit the client
- Measurements are subject to the client's confirmation

Payments and invoices
All payments must be made through Shanghai Ferriamed Clinic's institutional payment channels, not to personal accounts. Installment payments are not available. A standard VAT invoice may be requested.
